Ebony Retail is part of the DSC Group which has more than 20,000 people working across the globe present across 4 continents. As a transnational group, it has a strong presence in UK, USA, Libya, the Middle East and India. Starting off as a local Indian construction company 70 years ago, today it has diversified into multiple verticals like Developing and Constructing of Infrastructure Projects to Hospitality, Trading, Real Estate and Retailing. Ebony Retail Holdings Ltd is the group’s retail business company and is one of the country’s leading fashion & lifestyle retailer.

Ebony is synonymous with retail revolution in India and has been the pioneer in the concept of one-stop shop departmental stores in this part of the world. The first store opened in 1994 in New Delhi and has been witness to the evolution of retail scenario in the country for over 13 years. In addition to its departmental store chain, the Ebony Group has now diversified into specialty retail in the Home Adornment segment where it has tied up with Gautier of France. These stores bring to the discerning Indian consumer the latest contemporary styled furniture along with a complementing range of home accessories. Ebony Gautier showrooms have been launched in Noida, Gurgaon, Bangalore and Chennai.


ISO 9001: 2000 Certification

As the country’s leading fashion & lifestyle retailer has been awarded the ISO certification. The coveted ISO 9001-2000 certification has been conferred to Ebony after assessing its process efficiencies through various stages of buying and merchandising, warehousing, HR, F&A, marketing and retailing of various branded and customized merchandise from the company’s South Extension store in New Delhi.

ISO assessment areas include quality management system (includes control of documents and records); management responsibility (includes commitment to quality policy and customer focus); resource management (includes HR issues); product realization (includes customer-related processes, design purchasing and production/service); measurement analysis & improvement (includes audits, data analysis, corrective action procedures, continual improvement).
